DANCE STUDENTS
Our Spring Dance Showcase will be held Saturday, May 16th at the Ozark Actors Theatre in Rolla at 4:00 pm.
We will be charging $6/ticket for this performance. Ticket sales go to cover venue expenses. Please purchase your tickets ahead of time in your Parent Portal at: https://dancesaintjames.com/parent-portal/
Reminder: This is NOT a formal costumed recital. It is an INFORMAL showcase. Each class will perform the routine(s) they have learned in class, followed by a brief award ceremony.
Dance students will need to arrive in FULL class uniform with hair up with both tap and ballet shoes. Please make sure you have all items beforehand! (Homeschool dance students, please ask your teacher what you will be wearing).
Dancers, please arrive fully dressed at 2:45 pm for a brief walk through rehearsal. (Please only one parent/adult accompany dancers to rehearsal.)

We are trying something new and fun for our art showcase this year! Instead of an art display, we will be hosting a “Mom/Dad & Me” art class!
Your child may invite one parent (or grandparent/sibling) to attend class
with them, where you will collaborate on a fun art project! (If both mom and dad would like to attend, we can likely accommodate that, but please let us know well in advance so we can be sure to have plenty of supplies.
After class, you may collect any of your students remaining artwork from the studio to take home with you.

When do classes start and stop?
- Beginning of September – End of May
Is tuition monthly or weekly?
- Tuition is monthly
How many performances will they do?
- We do one to two in studio showcases a year plus occasional, various fun local performances that you may choose to participate in.
Does the 2-3yr classes do performances?
- Yes, they do performances also
How do I drop a class?
- To withdraw, you must notify us via EMAIL ONLY by the 15th of the month, or you will be charged for the next month’s tuition. Verbal notification of withdrawal will not be accepted.
Are parents allowed in the classroom?
- Generally speaking we do not allow parents in the classroom during class. We have a small lobby where you can wait for your child if you would like.
How many students are in a class?
- Depends on the age & day a dancer attends. Typically about 8.
Can my child try a class before we register?
- Yes, just call ahead to make sure the class is not full.
Are they required to be potty trained?
- No, but we do ask you let us know when you start the process and be available to assist them if needed.
What’s included in my monthly tuition?
- Tuition and all showcase fees. (Tuition for our Dancers Apprenticeship Program is seperate from class tuition)
What is NOT included in my monthly tuition?
- Required dance uniforms and dance shoes. Any costumes for optional local performances/events that you choose to participate in. Class tuition does not include Dancers Apprenticeship tuition.
- New Student Fee: $60. One time New Student fee covers your registration fee and your Studio Starter Kit (dance bag, tights, Welcome Pack, Ballet Bear or studio tshirt)
What’s does my child need for class?
What if my child decides dance is not for him/her?
- No problem, you are not obligated to a full year. We do ask for one months notice before withdrawing so that we may fill your child’s spot in class.
